Circulation

Several indicators are used to determine how well an animal's circulatory system is functioning. These include heart rate, mucous membrane color, capillary refill time, and pulse intensity. Listening to the animal's heart and breath sounds will help determine what circulatory problems may exist.

It is useful to know the signs of potential problems, but this should be followed up with a diagnosis from a vet if you see any of those signs.

There are options in treating a condition, and it can vary a great deal depending upon what the condition is, and how serious it is.

Supplements such as Omega 3's/Flax/Fish Oils may be useful, and some conditions may be helped using Hawthorn Berries, or Ginkgo Biloba. CBD Oil is also showing effectiveness with circulatory problems. Some other herbal remedies are also on the market, or you may wish to consult a medical herbalist. Homeopathy is always an option, including the diagnosis.

The art, as ever, is having the correct diagnosis and veterinary guidance.
