Cats

They say that cats and dogs don't get on, but tell this to the thousands of households that have both! However, if you already have a dog and are thinking of welcoming a cat into your home, or you already have a cat and are welcoming a dog, then they will need some help in getting to know one-another.
Dogs naturally chase anything that runs. It’s part of the hunting instinct. But if the cat isn’t running, he isn’t going to chase.
Cats will normally be happy in the presence of a dog, so long as the dog is behaving himself. Make sure you’re in control of the dog when you introduce a new cat, and praise and reward him for staying calm and being respectful while the cat is allowed to move around.
Keeping this as a basis for their co-existence will help enormously and you may then be one of the thousands of families who have a dog and cat who love each other and are happy to share their lives together.
