Obesity
Is your dog fat?
A dog's natural instinct is to eat, because, in the natural world, the next meal is not just around the corner or put in front of him at 5pm. A dog's eating habits are not the same as ours and just because a dog will eat, and eat, and eat, doesn't mean he is hungry.
We, as owners or guardians, are in charge of what, when, and how much our dogs eat.
Dogs (generally speaking) are designed to be slim and even athletic.
Obesity places extra pressure on the body and can cause, or make worse, many health issues.
You should be able to feel your dog's ribs, but not see them clearly.

Many commercial pet foods are grain-based, which isn’t a natural food for a dog. So your fat dog could still be fat, despite the fact that his nutritional needs aren’t being met. In this situation, you’ll find your dog does a lot of begging.
By feeding a natural diet your dog will get the nutrients he needs, and it’s easy to adjust the amount to maintain the correct weight. All you need to do is observe, and give less if he’s fat and more if he’s too thin.
It’s a natural instinct for humans to want to share their food with their dogs, but this is one of the main causes of canine obesity. It’s not easy to judge how much he’s eating if you keep handing him your leftover pasta and pizza, and letting him share your biscuits. A constant supply of commercial doggie treats will also make him fat, and they’re probably not terribly nutritious, either.
For those with conditions that are not just diet related CBD Oil has been seen to be helpful with weight loss.
