Essiac Tea
Essiac is a herbal cancer therapy developed by a Canadian nurse, Rene Caisse. It is said that she learned of this herbal combination from Native Americans. Essiac contains four herbs: burdock root, slippery elm, sorrel, and Turkey rhubarb root.
It is widely claimed that Essiac is an effective cancer treatment, although some studies show that Essiac actually promotes growth in some forms of cancer. There are many testimonials, however, of Essiac helping cancer patients.

Some research has been done to try to find out if Essiac tea actually helps to reduce cancer, but it hasn’t produced optimistic results. Then we get into the conspiracy theories: is it in the interests of the cancer research industry to actually find a cure for cancer?
If you want to use Essiac to help your dog, you need to do your research and make your own mind up. I have a rule not to say anything unless I know it to be true, and the truth is that I have no personal experience of the benefits of Essiac tea.
